Get up and Go!

Yo!

So, not much has changed in the span of a week, but here is whats I's gots:

Tomorrow [May 27th] at 7pm, ASUW's very own Arts & Entertainment (A&E) is showing it's last sneak peek of the year! The Hangover will be A&E's last for the year, as well as the last sneak peek put on by this year's Film Coordinator, Geoff Vu. The guy has done great work with the position in the 3 years he's been working as films coordinator. THREE YEARS! That is a LONG time to work in a student job that annually re-hires! SO, if not to come see the movie, The Hangover, do me a favor and do Geoff a favor by coming out to support him on his last film presented at the the University of Washington!!! Come on!! Do it!

Also, on the A&E front, this year's concert finale YOUR! Spring Show is happening this Friday, starting at 3pm! Come out and enjoy the sun, have some food, and enjoy free music from the awesome lineup we have laid out: Built to Spill, RA RA Riot, and some special local friends.

I'll update you with another new post, but I'm running off to Senate right now to check out the elections (hint hint: go check it out too!). Talk to you all soon!

Got some new goodies for you:

As anyone [and everyone should know about], the ASUW elections were held last week and through a valiant fight of all of the candidates, your new ASUW Board of Directors has emerged! Welcome them all with open arms and get ready to kick off the 09-10 academic year with a HUZZAH! The winners are posted on the ASUW website [asuw.org], so check that out, facebook them, comment on a photo and then do your homework! haha!

Tomorrow, May 19th, Terminator Salvation is playing a sneek-peek in the HUB Auditorium. For all of the information about that, go to http://www.facebook.com/event.php?eid=81158897661&ref=mf . Essentially, you need to get the promo code for the ticket, but the good news it, the code if public! So all you need is to register real quick, get the code, and then get there in time to get a seat (but remember to bring your ticket, no matter what).

May 21 is the ASUW Gay, Bi-Sexual,Lesbian, Transgender Commissions Annual DRAG SHOW!!! 7pm in Kane 130, be there or not have fun! Featuring Team Gina, the night will showcase individuals in group performing in drag, performing for fun or for a purpose. It promises to not disappoint, especially with the hype I've been hearing about Team Gina! The Student Disability Commission is also holding Week 2 of it's Disability Awareness Event. Check out their awesome schedule of awareness and interaction at http://sdc.asuw.org/

and Finally (for now), on May 29th, ASUW A&E is having their final concert of the year aka YOUR Spring Show!! The concert will feature Built to Spill, Ra Ra Riot and special guest bands. The event is free and will begin at 3PM on the HUB lawn. Bring EVERYONE!!
